The following organisations have been, or are currently, recipients of financial support from Boehringer Ingelheim Ireland Ltd. for the years 2009 and 2010.

Parkinson's Association of Ireland (PAI)
Financial support in the form of unrestricted grants. Articles on products for the treatment of Parkinson's disease were authored by healthcare professionals acting as consultants and have appeared in literature published by the PAI.
€1,500 in 2009 and €1,500 in 2010.

Croi
Unrestricted grant to support activities of Croi in reducing the impact of cardiovascular disease on families living in the West of Ireland. Croi pursues this aim by supporting and developing initiatives across all areas of cardiac care, including in-hospital patient care, interventional cardiology, heart failure and other specialised clinics, cardiac surgery, patient care in the community, family support, disease prevention, community education and cardiovascular research.
€50,000 in 2009 and €50,000 in 2010.

Irish Patients Association
Unrestricted grant to support provision of information and practical support to the public on their rights as a patient.
Unrestricted Grant €2,000 in 2010

Mayo COPD Patient Support Group
This was an unrestricted grant of €6,000 to the Mayo COPD Patient Support Group to support their activities in raising awareness of COPD and educating COPD patients on their disease. This is intended to support and coincide with COPD Awareness Week (20-26 June 2011). This funding was given in 2011.

Irish Lung Fibrosis Association
Unrestricted grant to support provision of information and practical support to patients with lung fibrosis, their families and carers.
Unrestricted Grant (€2,000 in 2011).
